Pamperology started with a feeling. Lightness. Wendy handmade candles, bath soaks, and body oils that were designed to help busy women feel a weight of their shoulders. Being a busy mum herself, she knew the challenges and the drains that modern women carry. She wanted every touchpoint in the brand to feel soft as clouds and as yummy as a marshmallow.

The PROJECT
This was one of my favourite projects to work on. Wendy and I did extensive brainstorming to ensure that her tone of voice and brand bible matched the feeling that she had – LIGHTNESS.
Everything had to tie in with that one key word. We made the primary colour Pantone Pink Marshmallow and decided to keep the soft fluffy sweet theme going. One of the core points we put into the brand bible is the directions for product photography which has direct instructions to use tulle or clouds in the setup.
When we were working on the product copy, the candles had names such as inspiration and radiant. I loved her idea of tying her candle names to words relating to light. However, we had to work on secondary names for the sake of SEO. Unfortunately, no one googles Inspiration Candles.
This was a long process to ensure a balance between keeping the light writing TOV and SEO keywords.
Overall, the project was a success and the resulting website is clear and concise whilst maintaining it’s softness that Wendy desired.
